Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch is an adorable anime series from Japan. Although the series has many fans in the English-speaking world, it has never been licensed for an official English edition in Europe, North America, or Australia. Therefore this website exists as a way to help English-speaking Pichi Pichi Pitch fans find and watch the anime series. In the unlikely event that the anime is ever licensed for an English release, this page will be deleted.

Of course, the anime was based on a manga of the same name. The manga, fortunately, is available in English. As for the anime, it has been only partially fansubbed, and never officially translated. Therefore, in the list of anime episodes below, you will find only some fansubbed episodes, and the majority will be raw Japanese. HOWEVER, if you've read the Pichi Pichi Pitch manga, it shouldn't be too difficult for you to follow along with the raw anime episodes, even if you don't know any Japanese.

Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch (first season)
Total episode count: 52 episodes
Fansub count: episodes 01 through 39, plus episode 52 (as of August 14th, 2009). Status: ongoing.

Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure (second season)
Total episode count: 39 episodes
Fansub count: episodes 01 through 07. Status: indefinitely stalled.

From this you can see that NOT all of the Pichi Pichi Pitch anime is available fansubbed. Therefore, if you want to see the entire series, you will have to watch some raw Japanese episodes as well. However, as I mentioned previously, if you've read the Pichi Pichi Pitch manga, it shouldn't be too difficult for you to follow along with the raw anime episodes, even if you don't know any Japanese.

  A note about that English dub trailer

Unless you've been living under a rock, you may have seen this English Pichi Pichi Pitch trailer posted on Youtube and other video streaming websites.

This is the trailer that ADV produced back in 2005, when they still had Pichi Pichi Pitch under license. Currently, ADV does not have the series re-licensed, and most likely will not re-license it in the future. Although the leaked trailer circulating around the internet has sparked rumors of ADV re-licensing the series, those rumors are not true.

However, if you're curious as to what Pichi Pichi Pitch *would* have sounded like in an official English dub... Well, now you know!

    I know that the Pichi Pichi Pitch anime is being aired on television in Italy. Are there any plans for an Italian DVD release? And would said DVD release be likely to have a Japanese language track, or would the only audio be the Italian dub? Curious minds want to know. Also, what about the Korean dub?
