Volume 06 of the manga hit the shelves yesterday, so I've updated the book list appropriately. Does anybody know if volume 06 includes the two special short stories?
Also, Hanamori Pink and Yokote Michiko have published a little thank-you note at DigiNaka, in lieu of an actual synopsis of the special short story in this month's Nakayoshi. Here's a translation:
"Thank you everyone for all of your support. This will truly be our last time together. To thank all of you who gave us so much support, we have written for you the final, best, romantic episode for Lucia and Kaito."

The final chapter of Pichi Pichi Pitch was published in this month's issue of Nakayoshi!! But is that the end of the manga as we know it?! Not quite! According to DigiNaka, there's going to be a special Pichi Pichi Pitch story published next month. Here's a translation from this page:

That having been said, it's time for my confession. I don't have the current issue of Nakayoshi, which means that I haven't read the final chapter yet. Thus, I've put off doing the major, substantial updates that this site really needs. I did, however, update the links list, and made a couple minor update throughout the site.

- More translations!
- Updated character profiles - most of them are terribly out of date. A lot of them need new scans, too. And I know that you all want to see a scan of Seira transforming into her super-cute idol outfit. ;)
- Updated princess dress page. I have a lot of new scans to add.
Sorry for all of these delays! But I AM alive and continuing work on this site, just so that you all know...

I still haven't caught up with manga information beyond chapter 24, sorry! I missed the issue of Nakayoshi that had chapter 25 in it, I've ordered my copy of volume 05 from amazon.co.jp but it hasn't arrived yet, and I've got chapter 26 but it's kind of not revealing anything terribly new... Anyway, here's this month's updates:
- Fixed some more names again - "Caren" and "Noel" are apparently the right spellings for the twin mermaids.
- Added some new links.

Two weeks into the semester from hell, and I figure that I might as well do this now instead of later: I've decided to not work on any more translations until next spring. Faced with juggling a ridiculously difficult homework load from my classes (including my senior thesis this year, urgh) with my job and an internship, I have hardly the time to eat and sleep once every 24 hours, let alone work on anything fun (like manga translations). From this point on, I will do my best to keep this site up-to-date in terms of the latest developments in the manga - that is, I still plan to update character profiles, keep track of the tankouban being published, etc. But please don't expect any new translations (or any more revisions of old translations) until next spring, when my life should hopefully calm down a little bit. I'm really sorry to have to put my translations on hold like this, but, well, c'est la vie.
As for the real updates today, I added a new section, Birthdates and Ages. I also added some more links to the links list, and that's about it.

- Revised versions of chapters 8-10 have been added to the Translations page. Lots of mistakes have been corrected.
- Added information and a small image of the cover of volume 5 to the Buying Manga page.

- Revised versions of chapters 4-7 have been added to the Translations page. Lots of mistakes have been corrected.
- Karen's page in the Character Guide has been updated with information about her power-up outfit. I still haven't found a good drawing of it to scan, though.

I'm halfway done with translations for chapters 23-24. But before I could finish them, however, I felt is necessary to make some updates to the site.
- Revised versions of chapters 1-3 have been added to the Translations page. Lots of mistakes have been corrected.
- The Character Guide has been updated with information through chapter 24. There are new scans (and even some new scans replacing older ones) in the profiles for Seira, Coco, and Noelle. The Villains guide is updated, and two new characters (Fuku-chan and Arara) have been added.
- A new picture of one of Lucia's dresses has been added to the Princess Dresses page. You have to see this one to believe it - ruffles, lace, and ribbons galore!
- Information about Volume 05 has been added to the tankouban list.
- Senseless, Gratuitous Kaito Shirtlessness has been updated through chapter 24. A new image has been added to that page, as well.
- Added some new links.

- The translation and romanization for "KODOU" has been added to the Other Stuff page.

Pure translations are still coming along. Slowly.
- Translations for chapters 21-22 have been posted.
- The Character Guide has been updated with information through chapter 23. Seira's profile is finally up, along with a new page of profiles for the new villains. Previous profiles that have been newly updated include Coco, Noelle, and the Love Interests page.
- New section added, Princess Dresses.
- The Story Arcs page has been updated with information about the second story arc.
- Senseless, Gratuitous Kaito Shirtlessness has been updated through chapter 22.
- Added some new links.
Plus, two major corrections made throughout the site:
"Noel" converted to "Noelle." Originally I thought that "Noel" was an acceptable translation, since 
could be used to represent either "Noel" OR "Noelle," both French names. But it turns out that "Noel" is a masculine name in French, whereas "Noelle" is feminine. I was unaware of that, because I have a female friend who spells her name "Noel"... I wonder if I should tell her...
"Luchia" converted to "Lucia." On manga merchandise, her name is written as "Lucia." I swear to God and all I hold holy that I have two items of anime merchandise (a notebook and a paper doll book) on which "Luchia" is written, but now, they're in storage in my old house about three hundred miles away. Still, a quick Google search revealed that Ru-Chi-A was often used by the Japanese to represent the name "Lucia." So the evidence seems to be overwhelmingly in favor of "Lucia" as the name that the authors intended.

- New layout, in case you haven't noticed. I finally made a layout that I don't hate - yay!
- Revised the Links List, added a few more links. Er, I had mixed up in my head the titles of two German fansites. Sorry!

I plan to start translating the Pure chapters of the manga as soon as I can. I promise! But for today's update, there's a fun new treat in store...
- New section! Mermaid Fortune-telling for the masses, yo.
- "Lucia's Pitch Side Talk" has been added to the Extras page.
And one more thing. Just out of boredom, I romanized and translated Sara's image song from the anime, "Return to the Sea." You can view the translation here. I don't know if I'll translate any other songs, though, because it's so time-consuming and difficult! Plus, any form of song or poetry always loses so much in translation...

Only a very minor update this time. Plus, good news! The Pichi Pichi Pitch anime has been licensed by ADV! Hopefully DVDs will be coming to North America soon!

- The Character Guide has been updated again. Lucia, Rina, and Hanon get expanded sections about their princess outfits. Plus some more info added to Noelle's profile as well.
- Still updating ye olde links list.

- The Character Guide is almost complete. Profiles for supporting characters, Nikora, and Aqua Regina have been added. Hanon's profile has been updated with a new item (I can't believe I forgot the orgel!!!), and Kaito's and Rina's profiles have new images linked. Also, Lucia's profile translation has been updated with an additional profile from the Nakayoshi homepage.
- Added some new links. Yay, more character shrines!

Site revamp again! I hate the layout, but it will probably stay like this. Anyway, pretty much everything has been updated and expanded, and I've replaced all of the old images with my own scans.
- Chapters 16-18 added to Translations.
- Chapters 03 and 14 have been revised to fix a mistake (now that I know what Panthalassa means!).
- Both Senseless, Gratuitous Kaito Shirtlessness and Choices of the Heart have been updated with material from chapters 16-18, as well as new images.
- Pretty much everything in the Character Guide has been updated and expanded. In particular, there are now scans to illustrate all of the different forms of the mermaid princesses, and a few other things added as well. Sara, Kaito, and Hippo have all-new profiles. Hamasaki has been added to the Love Interests page, and the Black Beauty Sisters finally made it onto the villain's page.
- There's a new Notes file linked from the Translations page. It's basically just the text file that I added last time, but still, in a slightly better format.

- A revised version of chapter 05 has been added to Translations. I made a rather dumb (and meaningful) mistake in the last couple pages.

- Chapters 12 and 13 added to Translations.
- Original Short Story #1 and #2 added to Extras. After I actually sat down and read the "Original Short Story" features, I realized that the title was completely misleading, and I had to change my descriptions of them. Well, that's what happens when you write a description of something that you haven't actually read yet.
- Both Senseless, Gratuitous Kaito Shirtlessness and Choices of the Heart have been updated with material from chapter 12 and 13.

Site revamp! I had some spare time this week, so I managed to expand and flesh out the site a little more. Actually, a lot more. The biggest expansion came in the Character Guide, with more detailed profiles for each of the mermaid princesses. I also tried to clear up some confusion about Noelle, too, since I've seen a few mistranslations about her floating about on the web. I also added a bunch more links to the links list. Yay, more PPP websites!!
Oh, and I fixed a type-o in the translation of chapter 02. Sorry about that.

- Web Stuff: I will begin scanning my own images in late May, hopefully.

Site launch! Translations are coming along slowly, but I promise that they will be done at regular intervals. If I can find the time to translate at least two chapters per month, that will eventually help me catch up to the current Nakayoshi chapters, which are only published once per month. ;) Depending on how much free time I can spare, however, it is likely that more than two chapters per month will be finished.
