Archived at http://www.boukenshin.net/pitch/ Translator's Notes: This is my first time translating a manga, and I'm not yet a very advanced student of Japanese, hence, there are bound to be mistakes. I tried my best to faithfully translate as much as I could, but there were parts where characters spoke using slang words that weren't in any of my dictionaries. Still, I think I got the gist of what I didn't understand. I didn't bother to translate sound effects, nor the words appearing on every sign, nor all of the [small text] words in the story. For purists, I know, this is a tragedy. But I chose to go for expediency, which means that I've translated only dialogue and *most* of the [small text] passages, at least the ones particularly cute and/or important to the story. I am also not entirely faithful to the punctuation in the original. Mainly, there are places where I have added punctuation, since the original Japanese dialogue consisted of long, convoluted constructions, which would not make sense in English without the addition of punctuation. Terms of address (like "Onee-chan," which means "Older Sister") and meaningless exclamations (like "Kyaa!") have also been left untranslated. ---------------------- Translation Key! Don't we have an important mission to fulfill?! We promised Aqua Regina that we would protect the ocean world, didn't we? [text on her sash] Pink Pearl Princess Hanon: [small text, inside her mouth] Yeah, yeah. Luchia: Moreover, I'm now a thirteen-year-old a*d*u*l*t. In the new semester, my love affair with Kaito will become much more adult, too... Hanon: But because you're a mermaid, you still can't tell him. And even if you turn into foam, he still won't get it. ---------------------- Hanon: Isn't Kaito-kun a human, after all?! Luchia: Luchia: Hey, hey, why don't we call Rina and go play? Hanon: That'd be nice. Rina: Hey. Rina: I met a visitor for Hanon, outside. Hanon: Meru? Hanon and Rina: Luchia, calm down. Rina: I wonder if you are a princess, if you act that way. Hanon: Furthermore, how can you fight with a *child* like that? Luchia: Meru: So, then, are you really an adult at all? Luchia: ---------------------- Hanon: It's wonderful that you're safe, Meru. But is everybody else, together...? Meru: No. After our kingdom was attacked and Hanon-sama escaped, I haven't heard from Mama or the others since... Hanon: Eh?! Hanon: Mermaid: Hanon-sama, run away! Meru: This is... Before my mama disappeared, she gave me this to give to Hanon-sama. Hanon: The treasure passed down by the Aqua Mermaids, the Ariake-no-tsuki Orgel?! I can't believe it, your singing just won't end! Luchia: And it still goes on and on. Would you like an encore? Meru: Uwa... Uwa. ---------------------- Meru: ---I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused. You were very kind to me. Rina: But it's a relief, isn't it, that your mother managed to escape to Luchia's kingdom. Hanon: We were able to know that, thanks to this orgel. This will teach you the whereabouts of any Aqua Mermaid throughout the entire world. I asked the jellyfish, Kura-chan. Kura-chan: I'm Kura-chan! Meru: I knew it, Hanon-sama really is the type of princess that I want to be like! ---------------------- Meru: Everyone looked so amazing after their transformation. Rina-sama too. And Luchia-sama too. Meru: Ah, Kaito-kun! Meru: But I can't just hand over Kaito-kun, can I? Luchia: T-That's not okay...
