Manga Translations

Before you dive in, I'd suggest reading the Legal Disclaimer and the Translator's Notes first.

NOTE: These are translations, not chapter summaries. These files are SCRIPTS that are meant to be read alongside a copy of the Japanese manga. These files will not make sense without the manga in front of you. You will not be able to understand "what's going on" on each page, because I do not describe any of the action occurring - I only translate dialouge so that you can read the original manga. The point is, please don't email me complaining "I can't understand what's happening in the chapter summaries!" because these are TRANSLATIONS, not chapter summaries. Also, please don't ask me to scan pages of the manga so that you can follow along! For more information about scanslations and why it's a waste of time for you to ask me for them, read the Site FAQ.

** Note: Chapters 1-20 use the names "Luchia" and "Karen," although "Lucia" and "Caren" would be the correct translations. It's going to take me some time to correct those files, because I run into formatting problems.

Some Reading Aids

A Guide to Wordless Exclamations
I left screams, grunts, sighs, laughs, and most other interjections "untranslated" into English, choosing rather to romanize them instead. This is because they usually sound more natural in Japanese than their English equivalents do. So here is a brief guide to what some of those sounds mean. Some will be obvious, others will not. Do you all know what it means when Kaito keeps saying "pu"?

A Guide to Japanese Terms of Address
A brief explanation of the terms of address, and name suffixes used in the manga, which have also been left untranslated.
