Frequently Asked Questions

Here they are, all of the frequently asked questions that I get about this site and my translations. Please take a moment to browse through this FAQ before you ask me a question. Thank you!

Questions About Translations

When will you finish translating the rest of the manga?

Never. Especially not since Del Rey has already published the entire manga in English.

Can I download your translations for personal use and/or print them out?

Yes, of course. That's what they're there for. However, if you do save my translations, I would recommend checking back at this site every now and then, in case any corrections or revisions are posted.

Can I post your translations, or part of your translations, on another website?

Please ask me first. I'll probably say yes. I haven't said no to anybody who asked me before. But I do like to know where my translations are going. You can find my contact information here.

Can I use your translations to make scanslations?

No. Especially not now that the manga has been translated and published by Del Rey.

How much of the Pichi Pichi Pitch manga is there? Where can I buy the English or the Japanese manga?

I think you made a mistake translating this part here...

Please tell me, I'm always willing to correct my own mistakes.

You moron!! The dude's name is Gaito!!!

You do realize that many things were changed between the anime and the manga, right?

Is the Pichi Pichi Pitch manga available in languages other than Japanese and English?

Yes! The Pichi Pichi Pitch manga has been translated into German, Italian, French, Korean, Thai, and Mandarin Chinese... That I know of, that is. I'm sure that there are even more languages availabe, too! All you have to do is search, and you shall find. Also, you can find some of my own translations re-translated into Polish, on this website.

Questions About This Website

Can you post pictures from the manga?

I've already posted quite a few large, beautiful scans from the manga, scattered throughout this site. You can find most of them in the Character Profiles section. I have scans of every main character's different forms linked from their individual profiles, and some scans of characters using special tools and magic powers as well. You can also find many scans on the Princess Dresses page. Overall, however, it is not my intention for this website to be an image gallery. So although I've already posted many scans from the manga (over 150 of them) throughout this site, please don't ask for more.

Can you post MP3's from the anime?

No. THIS IS NOT AN ANIME WEBSITE, BY THE WAY. (Sorry, I'm just a little bit sick and tired of site visitors - it seems like every one out of two - begging me to post MP3s from the Pichi Pichi Pitch anime, despite the fact that my site has *nothing to do with the anime*). If you want MP3s, visit some of the other Pichi Pichi Pitch sites that I have linked here.

Can I use your images for my website/avatars/signatures/whatever?

Sure, no problem. Just please give credit and a link back to http://www.boukenshin.net/pitch.

I tried to put one of the pictures from this website in my signature on a message board, and it only showed up as a broken link! What gives?!

You must have been DIRECT-LINKING the picture, which is why it showed up as a broken link. I protect boukenshin.net and all of its websites against direct-linkers. You shouldn't direct-link, because it steals my bandwidth! For more information about direct-linking and why it's evil, visit this website.

Questions About Pichi Pichi Pitch

How much of the Pichi Pichi Pitch manga is there? Where can I buy the English or the Japanese manga?

(Repeated from the above section, but a little redundancy never hurt anyone.) Click here!

What about the Pichi Pichi Pitch anime?

Although ADV previously had announced a license to release the first season of Pichi Pichi Pitch in North America, they seem to have dropped the license. Consequently, the fansub group Lunar Anime has decided to continue fansubbing the first season, provided that people don't whine at them about slow releases. As for the second season of the anime, Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure, it was never licensed. Naisho Fansubs began subbing the Pure season, but I'm fairly certain that project was dropped. I could be wrong, though.

And where can I download these fansubs?

What if I want to watch the rest of the anime but I can't wait for English fansubs?

Once again, click here!

Can I find the Pichi Pichi Pitch anime/manga translated in languages other than English?

Yes! For the manga, see the first section of the FAQ above. As for the anime, I know that it's been aired on TV in Taiwan (dubbed), in China (with a different dub), in Italy (dubbed again), and may be available in other languages/on other regions for DVD as well. To keep up with international Pichi Pichi Pitch licenses and releases, I suggest regularly visiting MermaidMelody.de and MermaidMelody.it.

Where can I buy Pichi Pichi Pitch music CDs?

CD Japan and YesAsia are good places to find Pichi Pichi Pitch CDs for reasonable prices. For those of you who can read Japanese, I recommend Amazon.co.jp. If you buy a lot at once, and choose naval shipping, you can save a bundle of money.
