Mythology and Folklore
Mahabharata Story (multipart)
Rated T / Written: 2005 and ongoing / A science-fiction re-imagining of the Hindu epic The Mahabharata.
Lessons Yet to Learn
!!Rated NC-17!! / Written: Winter 2007 / Arjuna has every right to take pride in his skills and accomplishments. But there are some things that even he has yet to try his hand at. Fair warning, because this bears repeating: The NC-17 rating is there for a reason!
Soul Eater
Balanced in the Center
This is my collection of eventually-to-be-42 fics for the livejournal Soul Eater prompt community, 42_souls. When I get a proper table all nice and formatted, I'll link it here. Until then, however, here are the fics that I've completed so far.
Good Omens Fanfiction
Ordinary Miracles (multipart)
Rated T / Written: Summer 2003 / It's tough being an apprentice angel, especially when your teacher doesn't understand you, a demon keeps showing up to harass you, and you're not naturally talented with thirteen-dimensional calculus.
New Mutants Fanfiction
Procrastination (also here)
Rated G / Written: Winter 2007 / Dani, Doug, and Illyana attempt to avoid an important duty. But friendship means being there for someone, even when it's hard to be. Originally written for Yuletide 2007.
Basis for Comparison (also here)
Rated G / Written: Winter 2007 / A sense of normalcy and belonging can be a terrifying thing to lose. Originally written for Yuletide 2007.
The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
To the Point (pssst! also rough version here)
!!Rated NC-17!! / Written: Winter 2008 / Kyon was always so blunt, his words cutting quickly to the point. Itsuki knew that sex with him would be the same way. Fair warning, because this bears repeating: The NC-17 rating is there for a reason!
Give and Take (also comments here)
!!Rated NC-17!! / Written: Winter 2008 / After his first sexual encounter with Itsuki, Kyon finds himself hungry for more. Fair warning, because this bears repeating: The NC-17 rating is there for a reason!
Matching Wits (pssst! also rough version here)
!!Rated NC-17!! / Written: Winter 2008 / Although she doesn't show it, Yuki craves a challenge. An intellectual challenge mixed with sex wouldn't be bad, either. Fair warning, because this bears repeating: The NC-17 rating is there for a reason!
Fate/Stay Night Fanfiction
Moonstone (also here)
Rated PG-13 / Written: June 2008 / Decades into the future, Rin and Sakura survive another normal, average day. Note that "normal, average day" in this case means "facing down a deadly adversary with the help of some old friends."
Escaflowne Fanfiction
Feuerfest (multipart)
Rated PG-13 / Written: December 2000 / Oh man, you guys, do y'all really want to see the totally awesome Mary Sue + Dilandau fic that I wrote when I was in high school? If your answer is no, then I don't blame you. But this story is still archived here anyway, if for no other reason than to remind me how much I've (hopefully) come since then.
Sailor Moon Fanfiction
The Awakenings of Tsukino Chibi-Usa
Rated PG-13 / Written: Winter 2001 / The Sailor Moon fic that I'm the most proud of, so far. My goal in writing this story was to give a new twist to the oldest Sailor Moon fanfic cliché in existence: The concept of a Sailor Earth. I also had a lot of fun experimenting with the prose and the style.
Awards: This fic was chosen to be included in The Best Sailor Moon Fanfiction on the Net, before the site unfortunately stopped updating. Also chosen as a
" 'Hard Core' Fic That Does Not Suck" by The Fic Bitch.
Romeo and Minako
Rated PG / Written: April-May 2000 / A bit of a romantic comedy involving Shakespeare, pop psychology, ramen noodles, donuts, and even a bit of Luigi Pirandello. This is my first fanfic, and you can tell that it's my first fanfic. It's full of all sorts of beginner mistakes, lots of fangirl Japanese, and generally writing that makes me cringe. But there are some parts that I'm still proud of, and I've been told that it's still a fun read. So please enjoy!
Awards: This fic was voted Best Yaten Fanfic for the month of December 2001 at The Nagareboshi Project.
Correspondence
Rated PG / Written: June 2000 / A fanfic written in response to homophobic flame email! But it turned out surprisingly well despite its ignoble beginnings, I think. ;) Anyway, my second attempt at a Yaten/Minako romance fic.
Starlit Legends - The Fall of the Kinmoku Kingdom (multipart)
Rated PG-13 / Written: Summer 2000 / Originally written for a fanfic contest. This story depicts the Three Lights and Princess Kakyuu in their younger years, and follows the events leading up to the destruction of the planet Kinmoku.
Awards: Chosen as a " 'Hard Core' Fic That Does Not Suck" by The Fic Bitch.
Seiya, and Other Observations
Rated PG / Written: I forget when... / A character study of Seiya, framed by snippets of poetry by T. S. Eliot. Like a songfic, but not like a songfic. You get the idea.
Peaches
Rated PG-13 / Written: October 2000 / A Momoko and Kyusuke fic! This is probably my second-favorite fic among the Sailor Moon fics that I've written. It follows Momoko and Kyusuke from childhood to adulthood, and portrays the development of their relationship as set against the backdrop of the birth of Crystal Tokyo.
Awards: Chosen as a " 'Beginner' Fic That Does Not Suck" by The Fic Bitch.
Akai Moment
Rated PG-13 or R, depending upon your tastes / Written: December 2000 / The world needs more shoujo-ai, doesn't it? This is a very short fic, which attempts to capture a moment between Seiya and Kakyuu.
Initial Metamorphosis
Rated PG-13 / Written: March 2001 / I can't believe I had the guts to write another comic fic. This is the insane, twisted result of pondering way too deeply about the Starlights' adopted male "disguise."
Awards: Chosen as a Weekly Highlight at the Sailor Moon Romance message boards.
Kinmokusei Story (multipart)
Rated R / Written: March to November, 2001 / The post-Stars sequel to "Starlit Legends." After returning to Kinmoku, the Starlights discover that their battles and hardships are far from over. Navigating the strange worlds of magic, science, politics, and true love, our heroines struggle to build new lives for themselves in the wake of the Sailor Wars. Note: There's some Very Bad Beginner Fic stuff in here, including at least one really racist caricature that I'm pretty darn ashamed of. However, I'm leaving the fic as it is - unedited, with all of the bad crap in it - to remind myself of my own stupidity. Maybe someday I'll return and edit this fic, but we'll see.
Awards: Chosen as a Weekly Highlight at the Sailor Moon Romance message boards. Also chosen as a " 'Hard Core' Fic That Does Not Suck" by The Fic Bitch.
Monterey
!!Rated NC-17!! / Written: June 2008 / Written in response to a challenge prompt: an erotic fic, starring Seiya, Yaten, and Taiki, set in the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967.

About This Website
The current version of this site features a photograph of a stone angel, shot by Roxy Triebel, graciously borrowed from her page of Ancestral Photographs of Upstate New York. Brushes used are from Paper Flowers. Why the angel, and the black, white, and gray motif? To celebrate the completion of "Ordinary Miracles," of course.
