Buying the Anime
Although The Adventures of Kotetsu is not yet available on DVD, you can buy both episodes on one single VHS tape, released by AD Vision. You can choose between dubbed and subtitled versions. I highly, highly recommend the subtitled version over the dub.
Here is the video synposis ripped straight from the slipcover:
Let yourself be charmed by classy Linn Suzuki, the feisty but loveable young warrior known as "Kotetsu!" Fleeing Kyoto one step ahead of her 100-year-old master, she stumbles onto the doorstep of the lovely detective Miho Kuon and into an underground web of intrigue. Ever the innocent, all she wants is a place to stay; but instead she's attacked by zombie street punks, a famous statue, a hot-tempered tree nymph and a geeky magician, who's actually kind of cute. Through it all, Linn never loses her sense of humor, her signature katana or her towel, which somehow clings to her diminutive frame throughout this masterpiece of martial arts mayhem!
With a sales pitch like that, how can you refuse? ^^ These are what the videos looks like, and where to find them. Click on the thumbnails to see a full scan of the video covers.

You can also buy the Kotetsu VHS at Amazon.com. While Amazon doesn't discount the price of new tapes, you can buy used tapes for obscenely cheap prices.
Of course, if you have a local anime store in your area, it's always best to check to see if they have the Kotetsu VHS in stock before you resort to online dealers.
