Electronic Text Center @ UofVA
Okay, so I'm one of those secular heathens who doesn't actually keep a copy of the Bible in my home. Thankfully, I had friends to borrow from. But I also used this excellent online text collection, which contains twenty-one versions of the Bible in English. The King James and Revised Standard translations are freely accessible to the general public.

Encyclopedia Mythica
A really really big website devoted to mythology and folklore from all around the world. If it weren't for this site I would probably never have figured out what a "Principality" was or even that "angelology" is a real word.

Reptiles in Mythology
A brief article on snake lore. This page is also useful if you're curious about chameleons, turtles, crocodiles, and more.

Snake Mythology @ UMASS
A great resource for snake folklore, myth, and some ranting about cultural biases against snakes.

Soc.Religion.Christian Website
An invaluable resource for anybody interested in Christian theology. I used the FAQ here to research the concepts of total depravity and original sin.

The Biography Project
This site contains a very useful biography of Aleister Crowley and links to some great Crowley resources. I used this as my main biographical source for Crowley.

An Aleister Crowley Factsheet
Self-explanatory, and very informative. I used this page mainly to collect information about various biographies and books that have been written about Crowley.

Introduction to Crowley Studies
This page is useful as an introduction to Aleister Crowley's ideas and philosophy, but as a general rule I approached the content here with extreme skepticism.

Return of the Beast
David Tibet's excellent (although dated) essay about Aleister Crowley's life and his influence on punk and rock in both the UK and the US. I'll admit it, I'm not much into the punk/rock scene, and I would never have known that Ozzy Osbourne sang about Crowley if not for this article.

This site is hand-coded in valid XHTML and CSS using good old Notepad. Other than the links you see listed above, I used my beat-up paperback copy of Good Omens and too much of my free time to make this site, and that's it.
