Banana Fish On Stage

Blue Shuttle Produce Axle is an all-male Japanese theater troupe that performs stage adaptations of popular manga titles such as Theyt Were Eleven, Saiyuki, Rainbow, Peace Maker, and yes, Banana Fish. Their April 2009 performance of the Banana Fish play is available on Region 2 (Japanese) DVD:

If you're interested, at the time of this writing you can also buy the beautiful program book from one of the Banana Fish theatrical performances off the Blue Shuttle Axle website. Those of you who live outside of Japan may need to use a proxy shopping service to snag your own copy, though.

I admit that I haven't seen the play myself, and I can't afford to buy the DVD right now, so I can't say much more about the subject on this page. However, I can link you to the official Youtube channel for Blue Shuttle Axle, where you can see a trailer for the Banana Fish production.
